(German)

Weihe’s existing HFC refrigeration technology will be replaced by an environmentally friendly refrigeration system operated with the natural refrigerant ammonia. This measure contributes sustainably to environmental and climate relief. Unlike halogenated refrigerants, ammonia has no direct greenhouse effect (Global Warming Potential (GWP)) and enables efficient, energy-saving operation. As a result, the Total Equivalent Warming Impact (TEWI) of the new plant concept is well below that of the existing plant. (English)
