In the project local heating between living and working in Friedrichshafen, an energetic heat connection is established between the industry and the neighbouring buildings (social, public and church buildings, as well as private housing). It is planned to build two local heating networks in the immediate vicinity of the Leutholdstraße industrial site, as well as the construction of an energy centre east of the industrial site. The local heating network is fed with waste heat from industrial plants. In the further course of the project, the two local heating quarters will be connected to each other and further industrial plants will be connected. For the future, the local heating network creates the prerequisite for the energetic integration of other waste heat sources of industrial companies and thus incentives to make meaningful use of the resulting waste heat. Im Projekt Nahwärme zwischen Wohnen und Arbeiten in Friedrichshafen wird eine energetische Wärmeverbindung zwischen der Industrie und der benachbarten Bebauung (soziale, öffentliche und kirchliche Gebäude, sowie privater Wohnungsbau) hergestellt. Geplant ist der Bau von zwei Nahwärmenetzen im direkten Umfeld des Industriegeländes Leutholdstraße, sowie die Errichtung einer Energiezentrale östlich des Industriegeländes. Gespeist wird das Nahwärmenetz mit Abwärme der Industriebetriebe. Im weiteren Projektverlauf werden die beiden Nahwärme-Quartiere untereinander verbunden und weitere Industriebetriebe angeschlossen werden. Für die Zukunft schafft das Nahwärmenetz die Voraussetzung zur energetischen Einbindung weiterer Abwärmequellen der Industriebetriebe und damit Anreize, anfallende Abwärme sinnvoll zu nutzen.
