Das TECHNOLab Heidenheim hat das Ziel, den Wissenstransfer im Bereich Internet der Dinge voranzutreiben und eine vitale Startup- und Gründerszene in Heidenheim aufzubauen. Zusammen mit den Bildungspartnern des Projekts, der DHBW Heidenheim, der Zukunftsakademie Heidenheim und des Digitalisierungszentrum Ostwürttemberg soll neben dem Wissenstransfer auch unternehmerisches Denken vermittelt werden Das TECHNOLab besteht aus einem Co-Working Space und einem Maker-Space. Ersterer beinhaltet offene Arbeitsbereiche, Aufenthaltsbereiche sowie einen Konferenzbereich. Der Maker-Space ist in einen Co-Construction Space mit einem Maschinenpark, einen Future Space mit Platz für Virtual und Augmented Reality und einem Outdoor-Space mit weiterer Freifläche untergliedert. Umgesetzt wird das Projekt auf dem ehemaligen WCM Areal (Württembergischen Cattun Manufactur).
