The object of the operation “Kovačnica — Business Incubator Kranj” is the purchase, renovation and fitting out of the former post office building at Poštna ulica 4 in the old city centre of Kranj for the purposes of the new business incubator named Kovačnica as the central subject of the innovation environment of Gorenjska and the city of Kranj. According to the Guidelines (MGRT, December 2020), it is a new incubator in a degraded area/object in the old city centre of Kranj. The main long-term objectives of the project are:- to contribute to increasing the added value of SMEs in the regional economy,- to stimulate the innovation and start-up entrepreneurial potential of the IOC and the Gorenjska region,- to strengthen the entrepreneurial and creative regional community and- to contribute to the sustainable use of space. Predmet operacije “Kovačnica – podjetniški inkubator Kranj ” je nakup, prenova in opremljanje objekta nekdanje pošte na Poštni ulici 4 v starem mestnem jedru Kranja za namene novega podjetniškega inkubatorja, poimenovanega Kovačnica, kot osrednjega subjekta inovacijskega okolja Gorenjske in mesta Kranja. Skladno s Smernicami (MGRT, december 2020) gre za nov inkubator na degradiranem območju/objektu v starem mestnem jedru Kranja. Glavni dolgoročni cilji projekta so:- prispevati k povečanju dodane vrednosti MSP v regionalnem gospodarstvu,- spodbuditi inovacijski in zagonski podjetniški potencial MOK in Gorenjske regije,- krepiti podjetniško in ustvarjalno regionalno skupnost in- prispevati k trajnostni rabi prostora.
