mAbxience Research, empresa de biotecnología perteneciente al grupo Insud pharma (antes CHEMO group), a través del proyecto titulado: "Investigación y desarrollo de un medicamento biosimilar basado en el anticuerpo monoclonal de Denosumab para el tratamiento de la osteoporosis" tiene como objetivo el desarrollo del primer biosimilar de denosumab en España y Europa para el tratamiento de la osteoporosis y de cáncer en tejido oseo que cumpla con los requisitos establecidos por las agencias regulatorias para introducir en el mercado un medicamento biosimilar con coste más accesible que el actual tratamiento biológico de referencia, y por tanto, una reducción de coste para el Sistema Nacional de Salud y una mayor accesibilidad a los pacientes.
