The general objective of this project will be to develop organic cultivation techniques that allow the improvement of the taste of tomato through the control and modelling of the crop variables that mainly affect quality, through the development of a model that allows predicting and ensuring the sensory characteristics of organic tomatoes grown in greenhouses. The aim is to model eco-sustainable strategies in the growing phase and their relationship with consumer preference in the different market scenarios. In this way, it is intended to create a tool for support in decision-making during tomato cultivation, in order to obtain tomatoes that meet the sensory characteristics demanded._x000D_ _x000D_ The main challenge posed by the project is to obtain a prediction model applied to organic tomato farming in greenhouses for warm climates based on the application of cultivation techniques compatible with organic farming, which has not been developed so far in any company in the sector, assuming therefore an advantage in terms of strategic positioning of the same by allowing the control of the quality of the product _ to the quality of the product, being able to improve the present characteristics of the technology-making process. This technique will be specially adapted for production under particular requirements, such as production in warm climates. (English) | |||||||||||||||

El objetivo general de este proyecto será desarrollar técnicas de cultivo ecológico que permitan la mejora del sabor del tomate a través del control y modelización de las variables de cultivo que principalmente afecten a la calidad, mediante el desarrollo de un modelo que permita predecir y asegurar las características sensoriales de tomate ecológico cultivado en invernadero. Para ello se pretende la modelización de estrategias eco-sostenibles en la fase de cultivo y la relación de éstos con la preferencia del consumidor en los distintos escenarios de mercado. De este modo se pretende crear una herramienta para el apoyo en la toma de decisiones durante el cultivo de tomate, con el fin de obtener tomates que cumplan las características sensoriales demandadas._x000D_ _x000D_ El principal reto que plantea el proyecto es obtener un modelo de predicción aplicado a la agricultura ecológica de tomate en invernadero para climas cálidos basado en la aplicación de técnicas de cultivo compatibles con la agricultura ecológico, el cual no ha sido desarrollado hasta el momento en ninguna empresa del sector, suponiendo por tanto, una ventaja en cuanto al posicionamiento estratégico de la misma al permitir el control de la calidad del producto, pudiendo anticipar las características sensoriales del producto y facilitando la toma de decisiones._x000D_ _x000D_ Una de las principales innovaciones tecnológicas fundamentales para el desarrollo del presente proyecto es la selección y optimización de una técnica pre-cosecha para el cultivo de tomate que permita mejorar las características de calidad y sabor del fruto de forma compatible con la agricultura ecológica en invernadero. Esta técnica estará adaptada especialmente para la producción bajo requerimientos particulares, como es el caso de la producción en climas cálidos. (Spanish)
