La incorporación de nuevas líneas de experimentación animal en la Unidad de Investigación Traslacional del Hospital General Universitario de Ciudad Real hace necesaria la ampliación de sus infraestructuras y equipamientos._x000D_ En el quirófano experimental se vienen realizando proyectos en modelos animales con ¿mini-pigs¿ en el área de la quimiohipertermia con sistema cerrado, estudios de reclutamiento pulmonar y aplicación de sistemas de depuración de bilirrubina tras insuficiencia hepática en el modelo porcino. Se dispone de un limitado equipo de anestesia y material laparoscópico reciclado con escasa funcionalidad que dificulta la respiración asistida y el mantenimiento anestésico de los animales, generando grandes dificultades en los procedimientos. Además, se pretende realizar nuevos proyectos en modelo porcino neonatal reproduciendo modelos de reclutamiento alveolar. Por todo ello, se hace necesario un equipo anestésico que permita realizar los ensayos con garantías. _x000D_ Del mismo modo, se precisa de un equipo de anestesia portátil con isoflurano que permita la correcta manipulación del animal de experimentación de tamaño pequeño (roedor), con posibilidad de monitorización de su estado fisiológico y control de la vía aérea, con un grado de hipnosis y analgesia adecuado para la óptima realización de los modelos y de las manipulaciones que se realizan en estos animales, así como material quirúrgico específico para la realización de determinadas técnicas y obtención de muestras. The incorporation of new lines of animal experimentation in the Translational Research Unit of the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real requires the expansion of its infrastructures and equipment._x000D_ In the experimental operating theatre, projects are being carried out on animal models with "mini-pigs" in the area of closed-system chemohyperthermia, pulmonary recruitment studies and the application of bilirubin purification systems after liver failure in the pig model. There is a limited anaesthesia equipment and recycled laparoscopic material with poor functionality that makes it difficult for animals to be assisted to breathe and to maintain anaesthetic, generating great difficulties in the procedures. In addition, it is intended to carry out new projects in neonatal pig model reproducing alveolar recruitment models. For all these reasons, it is necessary to have anaesthetic equipment that allows the tests to be carried out with guarantees. _x000D_ Similarly, a portable anaesthesia machine with isoflurane is required to allow the correct handling of the small experimental animal (rodent), with the possibility of monitoring its physiological state and control of the airway, with a degree of hypnosis and analgesia suitable for the optimal performance of the models and manipulations performed on these animals, as well as specific surgical material for the performance of certain techniques and obtaining samples.
