Προτεραιότητα του Δήμου Καβάλας είναι η βελτίωση των συνθηκών εκπαίδευσης των νέων της πόλης, η ενεργειακή αναβάθμιση δημοτικών κτιρίων, αλλά και η προσβασιμότητα σε αυτά ατόμων με ειδικές ανάγκες. Αντικείμενο του παρόντος έργου είναι η αναβάθμιση του 12ου Δημοτικού Σχολείου Καβάλας. Η παλαιότητα του Σχολείου αποτελεί σημαντικό πρόβλημα, καθώς απουσιάζουν χώροι WC στο εσωτερικό του, αλλά και οι ενεργειακές του ανάγκες είναι αυξημένες. Για τον λόγο αυτό, στο πλαίσιο του έργου προβλέπεται η ενεργειακή αναβάθμιση του Σχολείου, η βελτίωση της προσβασιμότητας Ατόμων με Ειδικές Ανάγκες (ΑμεΑ) και η διαμόρφωση χώρων WC για τους μαθητές, το εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό και τα άτομα με ειδικές ανάγκες στο παλαιό κτίριο, καθώς και η κατασκευή θερμοκηπίου στην ταράτσα των αποδυτηρίων και η διαμόρφωση του περιβάλλοντος χώρου με φυτεύσεις πρασίνου. The priority of the Municipality of Kavala is to improve the education conditions of the young people of the city, the energy upgrading of municipal buildings, but also the accessibility to them for people with disabilities. The object of this project is the upgrading of the 12nd Primary School of Kavala. The school’s age is a major problem, as there are no WC spaces inside, but its energy needs are also increased. For this reason, the project foresees the energy upgrading of the School, the improvement of the accessibility of People with Disabilities (People with Disabilities) and the development of WC spaces for students, educational staff and people with disabilities in the old building, as well as the construction of a greenhouse on the roof of the changing rooms and the shaping of the surrounding area with green planting.
