The aim of the project is to build cycling communication between Modra and Šenkvica with a total length of 4962.00 m, of which 50.00 m of cycle path will be realised from own resources of the Modra – Šenkvice Association. The project is implemented in the urban functional zone of the Bratislava region, in the cadastre of the town of Modra and the village of Šenkvice. Both settlements will connect the cycling route as a non-motorised mode of transport, thus enabling citizens to move easily and ecologically between settlements. Significant is the fact that Modry is connected to the nearest railway station in Šenkvice. This transfer point allows transport to cities with a great job opportunity such as Bratislava, Trnava, as well as other more distant cities. Indirectly, it will promote employment in the region and contribute to a higher rate of use of the environmentally friendly mode of transport. Important indicators are savings in transport time and daily attendance at work and school, increased rail transport performance, road congestion, increased throughput of collision points, reduction of noise and dust. Cycling has lower parking requirements and does not have a negative impact on the environment and at the same time promotes a healthier lifestyle. All activities are in line with specific objective 1.2.2 – Increasing the attractiveness and transport capacity of non-motorised transport (particularly cycling) on the total number of passengers transported. Cieľom projektu je vybudovanie cyklistickej komunikácie medzi Modrou a Šenkvicami v celkovej dĺžke 4 962,00 m, z toho 50,00 m cyklocesty bude realizovaných z vlastných zdrojov Združenia Modra - Šenkvice.
