Planeeritav 4 kilomeetri pikkuse tänavavalgustusega jalgratta- ja jalgtee (edaspidi kergliiklustee) rajamine parandab ühendust Peri piirkonna külade (Peri, Meemaste, Metste, Rosma) ja vallakeskuse - Põlva linna vahel. Kergliiklustee hakkab kulgema Võru - Põlva riigimaanteega paralleelselt ja aitab tagada liiklusohutust ning ühendub Põlva linna olemasoleva kergliiklusteede võrgustikuga, mis omakorda aitab lahendada ja tagada elanikkonnale töökohtade ja avalike teenuste parema kättesaadavuse. The planned construction of a 4 km street light cycling and footpath (hereinafter referred to as the ‘light road’) will improve the connection between the villages of Peri region (Peri, Meemaste, Metste, Rosma) and the municipality centre – the town of Põlva. The light traffic road will run in parallel with Võru – Põlva national road and will help to ensure road safety and connect to the existing network of roads in Põlva, which in turn will help to solve and ensure better access to jobs and public services for the population.
