Planeeritav 4 kilomeetri pikkuse tänavavalgustusega jalgratta- ja jalgtee (edaspidi kergliiklustee) rajamine parandab ühendust Peri piirkonna külade (Peri, Meemaste, Metste, Rosma) ja vallakeskuse - Põlva linna vahel. Kergliiklustee hakkab kulgema Võru - Põlva riigimaanteega paralleelselt ja aitab tagada liiklusohutust ning ühendub Põlva linna olemasoleva kergliiklusteede võrgustikuga, mis omakorda aitab lahendada ja tagada elanikkonnale töökohtade ja avalike teenuste parema kättesaadavuse.
