ReNovRisk-C3 s’intéresse à l’impact météorologique et océanographique des cyclones tropicaux sur les îles du sud-ouest de l’océan Indien (SOOI) aux horizons actuels et futurs. Il propose de développer une dynamique de coopération régionale et internationale basée sur l’établissement de collaborations étroites entre l’ensemble des partenaires régionaux du projet (Maurice, Madagascar, Seychelles) et les équipes de recherche réunionnaises (Université de La Réunion, DIROI). Le projet ReNovRisk-C3 se positionne dans une problématique sociétale forte et se doit de répondre aux attentes de la société vis-à-vis de la science pour aborder la question de la prévision et de la gestion des risques naturels. Les développements proposés vont dans ce sens, en ciblant une meilleure prévision des cyclones et de leurs impacts sur les îles de la zone SO de l'océan Indien. Les collaborations mises en oeuvre dans ce projet permettront de structurer la communauté scientifique régionale travaillant sur la thématique des cyclones tropicaux et de renforcer les interactions entre les pays faisant face aux mêmes menaces que l’île de La Réunion. Ce projet permettra ainsi d’améliorer la capacité de résilience des territoires face aux principaux risques naturels, et plus particulièrement face à l’aléa cyclonique. ReNovRisk-C3 is interested in the meteorological and oceanographic impact of tropical cyclones on the islands of the southwestern Indian Ocean (SOOI) in current and future horizons. It proposes to develop a dynamic of regional and international cooperation based on the establishment of close collaborations between all the regional partners of the project (Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles) and the research teams in Réuniones (University of La Réunion, DIROI). The ReNovRisk-C3 project is positioned in a strong societal issue and must meet society’s expectations of science in order to address the issue of predicting and managing natural risks. The proposed developments are in this direction, targeting a better forecast of cyclones and their impacts on the islands of the SO area of the Indian Ocean. The collaborations implemented in this project will help structure the regional scientific community working on tropical cyclones and strengthen interaction among countries facing the same threats as Réunion Island. This project will thus improve the resilience of the territories to the main natural risks, and more particularly to the cyclonic hazard. ReNovRisk-C3 befasst sich mit den meteorologischen und ozeanographischen Auswirkungen tropischer Wirbelstürme auf die Inseln im Südwesten des Indischen Ozeans (SOOI) auf den aktuellen und künftigen Horizont. Er schlägt vor, eine Dynamik der regionalen und internationalen Zusammenarbeit auf der Grundlage enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen allen regionalen Projektpartnern (Mauritius, Madagaskar, Seychellen) und den Tagungsforschungsteams (Universität La Réunion, DIROI) zu entwickeln. Das Projekt ReNovRisk-C3 steht in einer starken gesellschaftlichen Problematik und muss die Erwartungen der Gesellschaft an die Wissenschaft erfüllen, um die Frage der Prognose und des Managements natürlicher Risiken anzugehen. Die vorgeschlagenen Entwicklungen zielen auf eine bessere Prognose der Wirbelstürme und ihrer Auswirkungen auf die Inseln des SO-Gebiets des Indischen Ozeans ab. Die Zusammenarbeit im Rahmen dieses Projekts wird es ermöglichen, die regionale Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft, die sich mit dem Thema tropischer Wirbelstürme befasst, zu strukturieren und die Interaktionen zwischen den Ländern zu stärken, die mit den gleichen Bedrohungen wie die Insel Réunion konfrontiert sind. Zij stelt voor een dynamische regionale en internationale samenwerking te ontwikkelen op basis van de totstandbrenging van nauwe samenwerking tussen alle regionale partners van het project (Mauritius, Madagaskar, Seychellen) en de onderzoeksteams van Réuniones (Universiteit van La Réunion, DIROI). Het ReNovRisk-C3 project is gepositioneerd in een sterke maatschappelijke kwestie en moet voldoen aan de maatschappelijke verwachtingen van de wetenschap om het probleem van het voorspellen en beheren van natuurlijke risico’s aan te pakken. De voorgestelde ontwikkelingen zijn in deze richting gericht op een betere voorspelling van cyclonen en de gevolgen daarvan voor de eilanden van het SO-gebied van de Indische Oceaan. De samenwerkingen die in het kader van dit project worden uitgevoerd, zullen bijdragen tot de structurering van de regionale wetenschappelijke gemeenschap die aan tropische cyclonen werkt en de interactie tussen landen die met dezelfde bedreigingen worden geconfronteerd als het eiland Réunion versterken. Esso propone di sviluppare una dinamica di cooperazione regionale e internazionale basata sulla creazione di strette collaborazioni tra tutti i partner regionali del progetto (Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles) e i gruppi di ricerca a Réuniones (Università della Riunione, DIROI). Il progetto ReNovRisk-C3 si colloca in una forte questione sociale e deve soddisfare le aspettative della società nei confronti della scienza per affrontare la questione della previsione e della gestione dei rischi naturali. Gli sviluppi proposti sono in questa direzione, mirando a una migliore previsione dei cicloni e del loro impatto sulle isole della zona SO dell'Oceano Indiano. Le collaborazioni attuate nell'ambito di questo progetto contribuiranno a strutturare la comunità scientifica regionale che lavora sui cicloni tropicali e a rafforzare l'interazione tra i paesi che si trovano ad affrontare le stesse minacce dell'isola della Riunione. Propone desarrollar una dinámica de cooperación regional e internacional basada en el establecimiento de estrechas colaboraciones entre todos los socios regionales del proyecto (Mauricio, Madagascar, Seychelles) y los equipos de investigación en Reunión (Universidad de La Reunión, DIROI). El proyecto ReNovRisk-C3 se encuentra en una fuerte cuestión social y debe satisfacer las expectativas de la sociedad en cuanto a la ciencia para abordar la cuestión de predecir y gestionar los riesgos naturales. Los desarrollos propuestos están en esta dirección, apuntando a una mejor previsión de ciclones y sus impactos en las islas de la zona de SO del Océano Índico. Las colaboraciones implementadas en este proyecto ayudarán a estructurar la comunidad científica regional que trabaja en ciclones tropicales y fortalecer la interacción entre los países que enfrentan las mismas amenazas que la Isla Reunión.
