RAILNET: Actualización de los sistemas de telecomunicaciones tren-tierra de banda ancha y de una red integrada multiservicio de alta capacidad. Todo ello con el objetivo de promocionar una movilidad inteligente, sostenible e innovadora mediante la transformación digital de los sistemas de explotación y seguridad de la Red de Metro de Madrid así como el incremento de la capacidad de explotación de trenes y la aportación de nuevos servicios comerciales (nuevas aplicaciones de ayuda al cliente transmitiendo información de los trenes que van circulando, como la temperatura dentro del recinto de viajeros o la ocupación, basándose en el peso de cada coche, para una mejor distribución de los usuarios en el andén y un embarque más fluido; Información sobre los otros medios de transporte con los que interactúa Metro de Madrid en los intercambiadores: EMT, Renfe, AENA; Información on line sobre objetos perdidos etc.).
