Cilj projekta je nadogradnja postojeće luke od županijskog značaja u mjestu Crikvenica kako bi ista zadovoljavala sve sigurnosne zahtjeve za poboljšanje usluge prijevoza putnika tijekom cijele godine bez obzira na pritisak turizma što će omogućiti integriranosti hrvatskih otoka u širu prometnu mrežu te unaprijediti preduvjete za zapošljavanje, obrazovanje, pristup medicinskoj skrbi i sl. stanovnika otoka Krka. The project aims to build up an existing port of county interest in Crikvenica in order to meet all security requirements to improve passenger services throughout the year, regardless of the pressure of tourism, which will enable the integration of the Croatian islands into the wider transport network and improve the conditions for employment, education, access to medical care, etc. on the island of Krk inhabitants.
