Postojeće stanje gospodarenja otpadom na području Grada Kaštela, Općine Muć i Lećevice odgovara stanju koje je trenutno prisutno u većem dijelu Hrvatske. Razina informiranosti građana o održivom gospodarenju otpadom je neadekvatna. Projekt „Otpad ili smeće - sve od tebe kreće“ putem izobrazno-edukativnih aktivnosti koje su sastavni dio projekta, stanovnicima grada Kaštela, Općine Lećevica i Općine Muć omogućiti će informiranje, edukacije o smanjivanju količine otpada u kućanstvu, pravilnom razvrstavanju otpada, ponovnoj upotrebi predmeta i kućnom kompostiranju, sa ciljem uspostave održivog sustava gospodarenja otpadom gdje će građani i institucije imati aktivnu ulogu u smanjenju količine otpada i povećanju stope razvrstavanja. The existing waste management situation in the City of Kaštela, the Municipality of Muić and Lećvice, is the same as that currently present in most of Croatia. The level of awareness among citizens about the sustainable management of waste is inadequate. ‘Waste or garbage at all times’ project by training and training activities forming an integral part of the project, residents in the city of Kaštela, the Municipality of Lećenvica and the Municipality of Muić, will provide information, training on waste reduction in the household, proper classification of waste, reuse of objects and home composting, with a view to establishing a sustainable waste management system where citizens and institutions will play an active role in reducing waste and increasing the rate of sorting.
