Ispunjenje strateških ciljeva u sektoru održivog gospodarenja otpadom na razini područja obuhvata projekta ograničava nekoliko čimbenika. Jedan od važnih čimbenika je nedostatak svijesti građana o njihovoj ulozi u sustavu održivog gospodarenja otpadom te shvaćanje otpada kao smeća.Projektom Izobrazno-informativne aktivnosti Grada Virovitice o održivom gospodarenju otpadom, realizacijom 11 različitih izobrazno-informativnih aktivnosti, obuhvatit će se minimalno 95% građana, čime će se utjecati na podizanje razine svijesti o njihovoj ulozi u sustavu održivog gospodarenja otpadom te o važnosti pravilnog postupanja s otpadom, što će pridonijeti ostvarenju strateških ciljeva u sektoru održivog gospodarenja otpadom na lokalnoj razini. Meeting the sustainable waste management strategic targets at the level of project coverage areas is limiting a number of factors. One important factor is the lack of awareness among citizens about their role in the sustainable waste management system and the understanding of waste as garbage. the Financing of the City of Virovitica on Sustainable Waste Management, 11 different training sessions will cover a minimum of 95 % of citizens, which will have an impact on raising awareness about their role in the sustainable waste management system and on the importance of a proper handling of waste, thus contributing to the strategic goals of the sustainable waste management sector at local level.
