Przedmiotem projektu jest budowa I etapu drogi o przekroju 2x2, która będzie stanowiła nowy ślad drogi wojewódzkiej nr 935 na odcinku przebiegającym przez Miasto Rybnik i tworzyła jego południową obwodnicę. Z uwagi na konieczność włączenia planowanej drogi do istniejącego układu drogowego niewielki fragment drogi (ok.425 m) będzie zlokalizowany na terenie Miasta Żory. Etap I obejmuje odcinek od ronda Raciborskiego na tzw. północnej obwodnicy Żor do skrzyżowania z ul.Wodzisławską (DK 78) w Rybniku - w sumie 10,221 km. W ramach inwestycji zostanie wybudowanych 5 bezkolizyjnych węzłów, komunikujących nową arterię z dotychczasowym układem drogowym oraz 13 obiektów mostowych na kolizjach z drogami, torami kolejowymi i rzekami. Podstawowym celem projektu jest umożliwienie szybkiego i bezpiecznego dojazdu do autostrady A1 będącej częścią korytarza sieci TEN-T. (Polish)

The subject of the project is the construction of the first stage of the 2x2 road, which will constitute a new footprint of Voivodeship Road No. 935 on the section running through Rybnik City and forming its southern bypass. Due to the need to incorporate the planned road into the existing road system, a small section of the road (approximately 425 m) will be located in Żory City. Stage I includes a section from the Raciborski roundabout on the so-called northern ring road Żor to the junction with Wodzisławska Street (DK 78) in Rybnik – a total of 10.221 km. As part of the investment, 5 collision-free junctions will be built, communicating a new artery with the existing road system and 13 bridges on collisions with roads, railway tracks and rivers. The primary objective of the project is to enable fast and secure access to the A1 motorway, which is part of the TEN-T corridor. (English)
