Projekt zakłada rewitalizację poprzemysłowych obiektów na cele kulturalno-edukacyjne z zagospodarowaniem terenu i utworzeniem 2 nowych wystaw stałych. Projekt ma charakter zintegrowany; łączy rewitalizację infrastruktury poprzemysłowej w 2 miastach. W jego efekcie powstanie synergia pomiędzy kompleksem w Zabrzu a nowoutworzonym Muzeum Hutnictwa w Chorzowie. Połączenie potencjałów dwóch unikatowych instytucji kultury umożliwi tym samym wypracowanie nowej marki turystycznej, promującej cały region jako miejsce innowacji, łączenia tradycji z nowoczesnością i atrakcyjną destynację turystyczną, zarówno dla odwiedzających z kraju i zagranicy. Wspólna oferta, uzupełniające się wzajemnie zakresy, zupełnie nowe grupy odbiorców, wszystko to pozytywnie wpłynie na rozwój nie tylko instytucji bezpośrednio zaangażowanych w realizację projektu, ale również całego województwa, przyczyniając się to poprawy jego wizerunku, atrakcyjności – wywołując pozytywne efekty społeczno-ekonomiczne. The project involves revitalisation of post-industrial facilities for cultural and educational purposes with land development and the creation of 2 new permanent exhibitions. The project is of an integrated nature; it combines revitalisation of post-industrial infrastructure in 2 cities. As a result, there will be a synergy between the complex in Zabrze and the newly created Museum of Metallurgy in Chorzów. Combining the potentials of two unique cultural institutions will enable the development of a new tourist brand, promoting the whole region as a place of innovation, combining traditions with modernity and attractive tourist destination, both for visitors from Poland and abroad. The common offer, complementary scopes, completely new groups of recipients, all of this will positively affect the development of not only the institutions directly involved in the project, but also the entire voivodship, contributing to the improvement of its image and attractiveness – generating positive socio-economic effects.
