The main goal of the project is to answer the following question: is the nanocomposite material based on plastics and graphene falkes fabricated using plastic injection molding processes suitable for application in future EMI shielding technology? The goal will be achieved by realization of the following scientific and technological minor objectives: development of state-of-the-art and cheap method for graphene flakes production using liquid phase exfoliation approach, development of a method of fabrication graphene/plastic nanocomposite employing plastic injection molding processes, study fundamental properties of the nanocomposite and their influence to shielding efficiency parameter, also as a function of formulation and structure. The results of the project may offer an alternative approach to solve the problem of the protection against electromagnetic radiation in the surrounding environment which may affect adversely both the work of any electronic equipment and living organism.
