Předmětem projektu je modernizace tramvajové tratě na ulici 8.května v historickém centru města Olomouce v délce 273 m s cílem zvýšení kvality a posílení konkurenceschopnosti veřejné hromadné dopravy vůči individuální automobilové dopravě a zajištění každodenních přepravních potřeb pro dojížďku za prací či do škol s ohledem na bezpečnost cestujících a umožnění bezbariérového přístupu.
