V plynárenství a hydroenergetice se používají měkkotěsnící kulové kohouty. Tyto armatury nejsou trvale těsné, protože dochází k poškození měkkotěsnícího kroužku. Z důvodu celosvětové poptávky vznikl požadavek na změnu měkkotěsnícího kroužku za kovový, který by garantoval těsnost A podle ISO 5208. Podstatou projektu je nalezení konstrukčního řešení, které by umožnilo při současné úrovni obrábění dosáhnout těsnosti A (nulový únik). a. (Czech)

In the gas and hydropower sectors, a soft landing of spherical taps is used. These fittings are not durable tight as they are damaged by a soft seal ring. As a result of global demand, the requirement to modify a soft seal ring for metal which would guarantee the integrity of A according to ISO 5208. The essence of the project is to find design solutions which would make it possible to achieve A leakage (no leakage) at the current working level. (English)
