W ramach projektu przeprowadzona zostanie dokładna inwentaryzacja wybranych zabytkowych budynków metodą skaningu laserowego 3D. Projektem zostanie objętych 10 zabytkowych kościołów i Wielki Piec „A” Huty Pokój. Dla każdego obiektu pozyskana zostanie tzw. „chmura punktów” tworząca trójwymiarowy kolorowy model skanowanego obiektu, który poprzez sieć Internet zostanie udostępniony do samodzielnego zwiedzania (wirtualny spacer). Dla każdego obiektu wykonany zostanie też film prezentujący obiekt. Pozyskane dane zostaną połączone z istniejącymi systemami informacji o terenie miasta. Oprócz walorów wizualnych i możliwości wirtualnego zwiedzenia obiektu skaning dokumentować będzie bardzo dokładnie stan zachowania obiektu, pozwoli na wykrycie uszkodzeń, nachyleń, dokonywanie zdalnych późniejszych pomiarów wszystkich zeskanowanych elementów obiektu i posłuży do opracowania pełnej dokumentacji architektoniczno–budowlanej obiektu. Pozyskana „chmura punktów” będzie bezcenną bazą danych o obiekcie. (Polish)

The project will carry out a thorough inventory of selected historic buildings using 3D laser scanning. The project will be covered by 10 historic churches and the Great Furnace “A” Huta Peace. For each object the so-called will be obtained. The “dot cloud” creates a three-dimensional color model of a scanned object, which will be made available for self-seeing (virtual walk) over the Internet. A film presenting the object will also be made for each object. The data obtained will be linked to existing information systems about the city. In addition to the visual qualities and the possibility of virtual sightseeing of the object, the scanning will document the state of preservation of the object, it will allow detection of damages, slopes, remote measurements of all scanned elements of the object and will be used to develop complete documentation of the architectural and building object. The obtained “dot cloud” will be an invaluable database about the object. (English)
