Celem projektu jest wytworzenie nowej wiedzy poprzez realizację agendy badawczej w postaci technologii ci ągłego monitoringu wód śródlądowych i przybrzeżnych z wykorzystaniem organizmów bioindykacyjnych (rów nież w sektorze wojskowym i obrony cywilnej). Technologia ta pozwoli na wprowadzenie na rynek nowych pro duktów i usług związanych z wczesnymi systemami ostrzegania wykorzystującymi bioindykatory (BEWS). Wy niki realizacji niniejszego wniosku pozwolą w dalszej perspektywie na identyfikację i przeciwdziałanie zagroże niom skażeń i zanieczyszczeń wód substancjami groźnymi i szkodliwymi dla środowiska naturalnego. Działa nia te wpiszą się w statutowe czynności takich jednostek jak Polski Związek Wędkarski zarządzający większo ścią jezior przepływowych w Polsce, lokalne Departamenty Ochrony Środowiska w gminach i powiatach, Woje wódzkie Inspektoraty Ochrony Środowiska, organizacje pozarządowe statutowo zajmujące się ochroną dóbr naturalnych przyrody, w szczególności zasobów wodnych, a także różne inicjatywy społeczne. Z rozwiązań w nioskodawcy będzie mógł również korzystać sektor wojskowy, dla którego najbardziej istotną cechą jest zdol ność reakcji bioindykatorów na nieznane substancje trujące rozpuszczone w wodzie pitnej (zatruwanie źróde ł przez wroga), nawet w małych stężeniach, głównie na terenach zdobytych i obszarach działań zbrojnych. The aim of the project is to generate new knowledge through the implementation of a research agenda in the form of technology for monitoring inland and coastal waters using bioindicative organisms (even in the military sector and civil defence). This technology will allow the launch of new products and services related to early bioindicator warning systems (BEWS). The implementation of this proposal will, in the longer term, identify and address the risks of contamination and pollution of water by dangerous and environmentally harmful substances. These activities will be included in the statutory activities of such entities as the Polish Fishing Association managing most of the flow lakes in Poland, local Departments of Environmental Protection in municipalities and powiats, Voivodeships of Voivodeships of Environmental Protection Inspectorates, non-governmental organisations dealing with the protection of natural resources, in particular water resources, as well as various social initiatives. Solutions to the donor will also be available to the military sector, whose most important feature is the ability of bioindicators to unknown toxic substances dissolved in drinking water (the poisoning of sources by the enemy), even in small concentrations, mainly in acquired areas and areas of military action.
