Projekt zlokalizowany jest na terenie m.st. W-wy, woj. mazowieckie w dzielnicach: Wola i Bemowo (odc. zachodni), Targówek (odc. wschodni-północny). Projekt znajduje się na jednym z głównych ciągów komunikacyjnych miasta, łączy centrum ze skupiskami miejsc pracy i osiedlami mieszkaniowymi. Na Projekt składają się: Podprojekt A – rozbudowa II linii metra o 2 stacje w kier. zachodnim i 3 stacje w kier. wschodnim-północnym, Podprojekt B – zakup 17 szt. taboru. W ramach realizacji odcinka zachodniego wykonane zostaną: - 2 stacje: C5 - która będzie usytuowana pod ul. Górczewską w rejonie centrum handlowego, C4, która będzie usytuowana pod ul. Górczewską, w rejonie skrzyżowania z ul. Powstańców Śląskich, w sąsiedztwie Ratusza Dzielnicy Bemowo wraz z torami odstawczymi. - wentylatornia szlakowa: V5. - 2 tunele szlakowe: D6, D5. - komora demontażowa przy torach odstawczych stacji C6. W ramach realizacji odcinka wschodniego-północnego wykonane zostaną: - 3 stacje: C19, która będzie zlokalizowana w centrum osiedla Zacisze, pod ul. Figara, po południowej stronie skrzyżowania z ul. Rolanda, C20, która będzie usytuowana pod ul. Kondratowicza w rejonie skrzyżowania z ul. Malborską, w sąsiedztwie ratusza dzielnicy Targówek, C21, która będzie usytuowana pod ul. Kondratowicza w rejonie skrzyżowania z ul. Rembielińską. - 3 wentylatornie szlakowe: V19, V20, V21. - 3 tunele szlakowe: D19, D20, D21. - komory demontażowe przy budowanych stacjach. Postęp rzeczowy wskaźnika produktu – całkowita długość nowych lub zmodernizowanych linii tramwajowych i linii metra: 2019-2021 – 0 km, 2022 – 6 km. Zakupiony zostanie tabor – 17 szt. do obsługi I i II linii metra (uzupełnienie inwentarza MW oraz wymiana wyeksploatowanego taboru serii 81), części zamienne, stanowiska, narzędzia i oprogramowanie do obsługi, serwisu i diagnostyki pociągów.
