Over the last 10 years, the business line is mature. This means that customers have been better able to describe needs and ask solutions that underpin increased efficiency and a better quality of life for citizens. At the same time, companies have identified new ways to meet customers’ demand. However, there is still a need for knowledge-based innovation in order to increase the competitiveness of companies. The aim of this project is to strengthen Danish health and welfare firms. This is done through 5 Innovation Partnerships focusing on one or more tracks: Service models for welfare technology; Fast access to customers through digital ecosystems; Competitive advantages from data analysis. The Welfare Tech puts together the Innovation Partnership on the basis of well-tested criteria and based on the NABC-method (ed, Approach, Benefit, Competition) and the commercial objectives of the EIP (product/service) are assessed on this basis. All the project promoters will be evaluated via the Smart Innovation Management Tool (SIM) tool. Smart Innovation Management has been developed by Kevin Dean, who has more 25 years’ experience in innovation in health. Each of the 5 Innovation Partnerships will, in cooperation with the Welfare Tech as operator and other core partners, plan tailored development and testing cycles to maximise the commercial output of the innovation partnership and increase the success rate to implement the planned activities. It is expected that these Innovation Partnerships will increase the turnover of the participating companies and create new concepts or services that increase or make more effective the health and welfare of Danish citizens.
