Początek przebudowywanego odcinka DK44 znajduje się bezpośrednio za węzłem dróg DK44 z DK1 w dzielnicy Tychy - Urbanowice i przebiega do planowanego węzła drogowego typu karo łączącego drogę z Fiat Auto Poland, KSSE oraz dzielnicami: Urbanowice, Jaroszowice i Wygorzele oraz Bieruniem. Droga przebiega w obszarze zabudowanym na odcinku między węzłem z DK1 i okolicą obecnie funkcjonującego skrzyżowania z ul. Kościelną, Główną i Turyńską, a dalej w kierunku granicy z Bieruniem. The beginning of the rebuilt section of the DK44 section is directly behind the DK44 road node of DK1, in the Tychy district of Urbanowice and is part of the planned road hub connecting the Fiat Auto Poland, KSSE and the districts:Urbanowice, Jarzowowice and Wydistilleries, and Biestart.The road is situated in a built-up area on the stretch between the node of DK1 and the vicinity of the junction at present at ul.The Church, the Main and Turin, and in the direction of the Bieruń border.
