Start-ups are often confronted with the 'valley of death', even in the border region. Having an innovative product or service does not necessarily mean you will succeed in marketing it rapidly and efficiently. (Vulnerable) start-ups are often inexperienced at networking and do not have sufficient resources. Link2innovate encourages collaboration between techno starters and companies on both sides of the border. The focus lies on start-ups that work with key technologies such as micro and nano electronics, photonics, nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing systems and processes. Experimental development such as prototyping, demonstrations and pilot development ensures that the product or service has enough breathing space to evolve successfully. In addition, start-ups can request coaching to ensure that the product or service can be rapidly and efficiently marketed. Previously, the Incubatorennetwerk(t) project from Interreg IV demonstrated that the valorisation of research results benefits from cross-border collaboration between university research groups to achieve spin-off creation or allow existing university spin-offs to grow more quickly. This principle is being further applied in Link2innovate. (English)
