    The main problem addressed is insufficient level of cross-border and public-private cooperation in social field on all levels, which is inadequate in a difficult social situation in border regions and in the context of ongoing social reforms in both countries with common (European) targets. >Overall objective: through cross-border consolidation of resources, capacity building and public-private partnership to achieve provision of more effective social services for people at risk of poverty or social exclusion in Bg-Ro border area. The proposed budget is 353 826.71 euro. Project activities include: Mapping of social resources in border area; Comparative research of social systems; Creation of a Virtual Community of Practice (CoP); International experts’ meeting; 10 thematic exchange of experience forums; 10 joint training sessions; 6 exchange visits; Closing conference; Publications; Publicity measures and project management. The general result will be contribution to result indicator “level of co-ordination of the public institutions in the eligible area” (in social field), more concretely: A joint evaluation of current situation and needs assessment implemented; A virtual CoP created for networking; A data-base about social legislation, policy, social providers created; 300 social experts enhanced their qualification; 12 social organizations shared practical experience; A Bg-Ro cross-border social network created. Project incorporated one cross-border mechanism for enhancing level of cooperation of the public institutions. (English)
