The overall objective of the project "Reveal of Trakai and Gizycko heritage for tourism" - stimulate the growth of tourism by contributing to the attractiveness of Trakai and Giżycko districts. Immediate objectives: 1. Adapt cultural and natural heritage sites for tourism; 2. Launch mutual activities for cross border tourism development; Expected outputs and results: Under the frames of the project, cultural and natural heritage sites - empty land plot in old town in Trakai district municipality and bicycle path instead of unused railway track in Giżycko rural municipality will be adapted for tourism. Also mutual tourism activities will be launched for exploitation of sites adapted: study visits, active tourism camps, family weekends. Outputs will result in increased number of tourists accommodated in Trakai and Giżycko areas. Project budget: 999 463,50 EUR. (English)
