Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has been awarded funding under the PEACE IV Programme to implement their PEACE Action Plan. The funding will be utilised to support a number of locally-based projects and initiatives that will promote positive relations between people from different communities and backgrounds. The PEACE Action Plan will be focused on three key areas: Children & Young People; Shared Spaces & Services; and Building Positive Relations. Under the Children & Young People element five initiatives will be delivered, including a cross-community 'Good Relations Twinning Programme' to 10 primary schools with 200 participants and four secondary schools with 100 participants.
