SHCity provides an open data tool to manage urban old towns and make heritage management easier. This solution is based on data gathered through sensors located in the urban area in order to prevent risks which have an impact on buildings, improve energy consumption and control tourism mass. The project is based on the use of ITC and heritage expertise. Its first stage focuses on buildings and will be extended then to urban settings. The project includes: - Infrastructures to collect and store data with monitoring and updating systems hosted in technological platforms; - Software application for tourists to disseminate information and raise awareness on heritage preservation; - Smart Management and decision-making software tool in Open Source Format developed through data collection infrastructure and expertise in technology and heritage protection. The project is taking place in Avila. (English)
