Through this project towns of Ludbreg and Zalaegerszeg wanted to prove that they are “lighthouse cities” in the field of waste management in the cross-border area. They tried to make that evident from several project outputs and results: analysis of public opinion on habits of citizens and level of knowledge about efficient waste management; innovative and green waste management infrastructures in both towns (smart underground waste containers systems) connected with applicable IT solutions and drafting of „Zero Waste Concept“ document, and capacity building materials.
