    I-TeN project is developed by Turnu Magurele and Nikopole municipalities addressing common problems: the poor connection with TENT core and comprehensive network because of under-developed road infrastructure, with a high risk of accidents, and have insufficient capacity. The problems are important at national level, national institutions in the field supporting I-TeN especially in the perspective of a new bridge. The general objective of I-TeN is to improve the development of cross-border transport system of the Turnu Magurele – Nikopole tertiary nodes in a better connection with TENT infrastructure for sustainable development of the area. One of the specific objectives is to improve the transport infrastructure of the both tertiary nodes: 10 streets along and/or at the intersection of several national roads (DN52, DN51A), which are taking over the national and international traffic and a municipal road PVN 3123. Two joint mechanism will be developed: joint traffic management and a common information system for public transport. The main activities includes elaboration of technical documentations, works contracts, traffic management plan and purchasing the equipment; a specific study, a conference and a workshops for public transport operators in order to generate a common system for passengers. The expected result is: 29,865 population served by modernized infrastructure leading to TENT and the output indicators are total length of 12,223 km modernized and 2 joint mechanisms.
