There are various good practices of concrete reusing but the amount of construction and demolition waste is rising with the increasing building activity worldwide including Russia, Norway and Finland. There are urgent issues of reusing large volumes of reinforced concrete while coming up with technologically advanced and cost efficient methods of concrete waste recycling. Within the framework of the project “DeConcrete:Eco-Efficient Arctic Technologies Cooperation”, the international consortium experts will perform laboratory tests of the demolition objects, identify new methods for maximizing reuse and recycle, study the presence of harmful components, and develop new technologies and guidelines. In close cooperation with industrial partners and with the support of regional authorities, the DeConcrete project experts aim to identify the areas where the materials and structures can be reused, recovered or recycled. They are also looking for the new business opportunities for those providing their services in this field. (English)
