The project aims to promote the mobility of populations in the cross-border rural territory where there are few or no alternatives to the private car. It aims to provide new mobility solutions, particularly for people who do not own a private car or simply those who are open to a more sustainable lifestyle. With the creation of a cross-border network of hubs, the project aims to develop new forms of mobility services in village and city centres, combining these transport services with social and commercial services. At the same time, the project improves passenger information for inhabitants of the cross-border territory through the updated cross-border public transport map. The project is also studying the establishment of a cross-border mobility centre. Finally, TRANSMOBIL wishes to improve the knowledge of the various stakeholders with skills in the field of mobility in rural areas where mobility services, particularly cross-border services, have generally been little studied. A study on existing line connections and potential cross-border links allows mobility stakeholders to better understand the shared and specific issues and opportunities in their territory. Through the “mobility” cluster, they will be able to dialogue, pool their expertise and resources to develop common concrete solutions to improve mobility services for the population. (English)
