    In the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area, mountain tourism is poorly developed and promoted,with low visibility on all promoting channels, although this region, with a special beauty of the mountain landscape, is characterized by numerous points of view, gorges, waterfalls, rocks, steep cliffs, caves and important areas for the practice of various mountain sports in all seasons. The cross-border area of Romania and Bulgaria is an extraordinary place, full of cultural and natural heritage, but tourism dont have attractions targeted to the segment of loving mountain adventure tourists. The mountain hiking and the climbing, the mountain biking are a remarkable experience, a tourist attraction that could bring many adventure lovers to visit the cross-border mountain area. But in order to preserve ecology in this area, to promote a friendly attitude with the nature and species of the region, mountain electric bicycles bring added value. The main objective of the project are to support the sustainable development of the cross-border tourism from Romania and Bulgaria and to increase the promotion of the mountaine area from district Mehedint and counties Vidin and Montana by creating new products and services and through direct involvement all interested stakeholders in tourism development that will increase the number of the tourists in the region. New touristic offer will increasing the number of the loving mountain tourists and promoting the mountain cross-border area from county Mehedinti in Romania and districts Vidin and Montana in Bulgaria. Promotion of the mountain tourism activities and the mountain cycling routes created within the project will increase the number of tourists will visiting this unique part of the region. The mountain electrical bikes will protect and will promotion of nature-friendly attitude in the cross-border mountain region. At the same time, mountain tourism can bring an increase in the number of jobs and improve the living standard of the local people, the creation of new tourist services and, with the increase in the number of tourists, an increase in income in the regions from the northwest of Bulgaria and from the southwest of Romania. The activities of the project are: A1. Project management is an activity related with the team meetings (4 in Romania and 4 in Bulgaria), which unites joint efforts of the partners for the proper project implementation in order to obtain the proposed results and achieve the program indicators. A2. Studies for identifying the types of trails for mountain electric bikes (trails with varying degrees of difficulty) (3 studies, each with 50 pages: 1 in county Mehedinti from Romania and 2 each in districts Vidin and Montana from Bulgaria). A3. Common Marketing Strategy for the trails identified for mountain electric bikes from county Mehedinti, Romania, and from districts Vidin and Montana, Bulgaria; A4. Aquisition of 150 of the mountain electrical bikes with GPS (50 pieces for each region), which in order to preserve ecology in this area, to promote a friendly attitude with the nature and species of the region, bring added value on the regions. A5. Organized seminars with the stakeholders (tour-operators, NGOs in tourism activities, representatives of local and regional public administration etc)from the target area to promote the new product and to select e-bike operators; we will have 1 seminar in each county/district from Ro and Bg, each with 40 participants/1 day, A6. Organizing the joint trainings for e-bike maintenance with the selected operators: 1 in Ro and 1 in Bg, each with 30 participants, for 2 days/1 nights. The training will also serve to one important purpose – networking between the operators from both countries. A7. Information and publicity campaign: roll-up, brochures, albums/catalogs, maps, flyers, t-shirts, caps; development of website in ro-bg-en; 1 Application for smart devices- app is meant to be an interactive portal for lovers of mountain e-bike adventure. Through the medium of the application the users have the opportunity to discover the mountain trails and the beauty of the mountain landscape in Romania as well as in Bulgaria; one film for 60 min. in Romania and Bulgaria; professional pictures - 400 for Ro and 400 for Bg; production of video; production of radio spot; broadcast of video spot, broadcast of radio spot; organization of 4 press-conferences- 2 in BG and 2 in RO at the beginning and end of the project with 20 participants each; A8. Organization of joint info-tour to promote tourism with mountain electric bikes on the trails identified by the studies in the county Mehedinti from Romania, and in the districts Vidin and Montana from Bulgaria: in each district or county from project area will be organized 4 types of tours: 1*3 for children - 30pers/2 days/1night, 1*3 for seniors - 30pers/2 days/1night, 1*3 open tours to everyone who wants to try this new tourist product - 50 pers/3 days/2 nights and 1*3 tours for tou (English)
