The idea of the project is to provide on both sides of the PL-BY border necessary services for the solution of key problems of people with autism. The organization of help services for people with autism do not have sufficient system solutions on either side of the border. Challenges in terms of providing adequate support services for people with autism requires the bottom-up approach from organizations and stakeholders. The key problem to be solved on the Belarusian side is to build a support system for people with autism, both personnel training and preparation of infrastructure. On the Polish side the missing link in the organization of the aid scheme is to build a complex covering its support activities the needs of youth and adults with autism. Implementation of the project is the answer to solve these problems. The overall objective of the project is to enhance the security of people with autism and their families in cross-border area of Brest Oblast (BY) and Bialski subregion (PL) through the actions to improve the quality of life and preventing marginalization. This will be achieved through increase the access to infrastructure of social and health care services. The expected change, the project will make is delivery the most needed support services (depending on the needs that occur on each side of the border) in the system of assistance to people with autism. In accordance to aims mentioned above the project will deliver infrastructural outputs on both sides of the border: Creation of the resource centre of comprehensive care for children with ASD and their parents on the basis of supplementary school of Brest on the BY side and building of the School preparing for employment and Environmental Self-help house as well as Training flats with the possibility of transformation into the house of permanent stay for adults with Autism on the PL side. Newly build infrastructure is the only alternative to counteract social inclusion of youth and adults with ASD. (English)
