    Overall objective: Improved protection of the environment and people through reduced risks of disasters in the cross-border area. Specific objective: 1. Project activities: 1.1 Procurement of equipment for protection from floods. 1.2 Cross-border trainings for rescuers on Protection in case of floods and on swift waters. 1.3 Cross-border field exercises. 1.4 Workshops on Flood Protection for municipal emergency units. 1.5 Training on GIS Mapping for professionals dealing with emergencies. 1.6 Updating of the databases on floods in the region of Skadar Lake. 2.1 Seminar on Best EU Practice in Flood Protection. 2.2 Round tables on Best EU Practice in Flood Protection. 3.1 Trainings on Forecasting and Early Warning System. 3.2 Preparation of a Protocol of Cooperation defining a Common Warning System in the area of Skadar Lake. 3.3 Procurement of equipment for forecasting and early warning system. 4.1 Workshops on flood protection for primary school students. 4.2 Cross-border drawing competition for students. 4.3 Workshops on flood protection for people in local communities. 4.4 Brochure on flood protection and rescue. 4.5 Awareness raising activities – press conferences, TV and radio shows, newspaper articles, website texts and promotional items. 4.6 Lectures for secondary school students on DRR. 4.7 Leaflets on 112 in local languages and English. 4.8 112 Info boards. 5.1 Conference on DRR and importance of cross-border and regional cooperation. 5.2 Joint Agreement on cooperation in DRR in the cross-border area. 5.3 Cross-border meetings of project stakeholders. 5.4 Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation on project implementation.
