    The overall idea of the project is to raise cross-border awareness of available green phytoremediation technologies to clean soil from pollutants such as oil, industry related contaminants, heavy metals, nutrients and microplastics through new arenas of cooperation that focus on a circular economy approach. The project showcases solutions on phytoremediation and energy production from grown crops to clean polluted soil and host a network to exchange cross-border knowledge through best practices/standards. The project develops a BAPR approach, phytoremediationp cases and training courses in order to prepare, test and evaluate new solutions on 3 different types of soil pollutions in Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. On this basis a guidance for further implementation of the concept and training model will be produced and disseminated among stakeholders. The main target groups are public landowners and property developers in the region as well as their municipal subsidiary companies and regional authorities that can implement similar solutions and promote phytoremediation through BAPR.
