The overall objective of the project is to prevent social exclusion of women and their families, therefore partners seek to improve the access to the health care services in the field of reproductive health, prenatal care and cancer prevention. Project beneficiaries aim to influence unfavourable demographic trends in Augustów district and Alytus region and this objective shall be achieved through implementation of new health prevention programs, increased availability of specialised medical examinations and installation of equipment for diagnosis and treatment of women in the participating hospitals. The project shall have impact on the health care quality on both sides of the border through joint specialised trainings for gynecologists and coordinated promotional campaign, which will focus on the problem of declining birth rates, migration processes of women to other centres and problems of cancer. Project will positively influence cross-border cooperation, seeking to increase health factors of women in the border area. (English)
