Zarasai, Vitebsk and Daugavpils districts has necessary potential for cultural tourism development but small tourist flows shows that not all opportunities are exploited: an important cultural heritage objects are little known especially for foreign tourists and are not developed for tourism purposes; museums' expositions are in poor condition and lost its attraction for young people; publicity methods concept aligned with the public need are not developed. The aim of the project is to stimulate active and sustainable use of cultural heritage in order to increase the growth of tourism in Zarasai, Vitebsk and Daugavpils districts. The project activities are designed with a purpose to adapt cultural and historic heritage sites for tourism and to launch mutual activities for cross border tourism development. The project is based on 3 main directions of the investment: 1 - investment into infrastructure renovation and expositions installation; 2 - investment into partnership links creation (with entrepreneurs, politicians and community members and other) ; 3 - investment into wide dissemination of the project results through various communication channels. The uniqueness of the project idea gets through the presentation of museums collections - Vitebsk museum classic exposition will be linked with modern IT solutions; It will be created innovative design with the use of IT tools for Stelmuze - manor Slave tower. The outputs of the project will result increased number of tourists accommodated in Zarasai, Vitebsk and Daugavpils areas. This fact will effectively contribute to economic growth and will and stimulate economic growth. Partners involved: 1. Zarasai District Municipality Administration (LB); 2.
