Culture sector can be important economic driver in local economy but during last economic crisis the cultural sector was the first thing to which public authorities cut the budget. With reduced budget and ever changing situation in cultural field, the public museums in cross border territory struggle to find and apply appropriate business model in their everyday work and stimulate interest of public in order to increase number of visitors. Moreover, today’s audience perceive museums as traditional places that lost the battle with modern times and they choose to spend their leisure time in places that are more attractive. Applying bottom up approach and allowing public to become active creator of museum offer, museums are starting to building and enhancing the relationships with their consumers. The overall objective and the core of the project is the creation of a network model among museums in Albania, Montenegro, Apulia and Molise, according to a common methodology and with new services and tools. The aim of the project is the promotion of natural and cultural heritage through the valorisation of museums, in terms of management and services. Allowing museums to join a new cross-border dimension of management will improve the touristic and cultural offer and, consequently, visitor flows, producing tourist growth, as well as sustainable and economic development in the involved areas that have some different natural and cultural opportunities. In order to produce the value that can make museums more sustainable is development of Museum pass ticketing system and Museum path itineraries that will further favour development of museum network and joint collaboration.
