Despite the existing cultural cooperation in the Hungary-Serbia border region, there is an evident lack of knowledge and information about the cultural heritage and cultural offer in the border region related to puppetry/children’s theatre, especially among children and young people. Project aims to develop children’s theatre art in the border region, increase cooperation between stakeholders, increase general theatre and festivals audience and create innovative online tool for the purpose of education, information, promotion and experience exchange in the field of theatre art for children. Project partners are two cultural institutions, organizers of two international theatre festivals for children, which have excellent cooperation and successful experience with cross-border cooperation. The project is based on the four groups of activities which will be implemented simultaneously: Exchange of festival programs will serve for cooperation and networking of the target groups, sharing of experience, expansion of theatre audience and promotion of partner-festivals; Creation and promotion of an exhibition, focused on the cultural heritage of the border region in the field of theatre art for children which will enable promotion and raise of interest for this subject; Comprehensive education for children consisting of a puppet workshop, a puppetry camp for children, children’s preparation of theatre performances and its presentation on the Festivals will enable involvement and education of children, their socialization through play, idea-sharing and development of creativity, thus increasing the interest for puppetry and children’s theatre art of young generations. All the three results are contributing to the achievement and promotion of the key project result – creation of a web platform, which in innovative and interactive way presents the cultural heritage of the border region in the field of puppetry and children theatre art, and provides continual information about current news and events in the field of theatre art for children.
