    The project of Alytus, Suwałki and Varena Hospitals (public healthcare services providers) is focused on supporting effectiveness and efficiency of public hospitals in PL-LT borderland region through improvement of healthcare services provided. Specific project objectives are: improvement of patient service processes at specific levels of their implementation through an increase in the knowledge of medical and non-medical personnel of partner hospitals in the field of efficient and safe patients’ service, improvement of quality of medical and non-medical processes making up public health services carried out in public hospitals through improvement of medical infrastructure, to consult common and efficient ways to handle patients in accordance with European standards and with respect for patients' rights. Main project events: kick-off conference in Varėna, 14 trainings/workshops for staff of partners’ hospitals, purchase of the new equipment improving standards of patient services, closing conferences in Suwałki. Planned results: 3 institutions involved in cross-border cooperation Planned outputs: 14 staff trainings (600 participants), 2 project conferences (120 participants), 507 pcs. of purchased equipment Total planned project budget: 714 632.50 EUR (English)
