The free movement of workers is one of the four fundamental freedoms of the European Union, as well as one of the pillars of the single market, and cross-border areas are perhaps the most sensitive to this reality. that the development of their capacity and potential for integration and consolidation in the world of work must be one of the strengths that will strengthen the single European market. The adoption of the 2014-2020 Strategic Plan of the Euroregion Aquitaine-Euskadi EGTC marks a turning point in the history of the relations between the two regions and allows the consolidation of the Euroregional project which wanted to be part of the European construction at the interregional and international scale. Proximity. This strong political challenge has identified a series of priority themes, among which is the development of a Euroregional employment basin that will allow the structuring of the perimeter of the two regions as a dynamic area and economic opportunity, both for companies than for the working population. This project aims to address this multidisciplinary problem at the Euroregional level, both from a theoretical and a practical point of view for companies, workers and the unemployed. (English)
