A megvalósítás helyszíne, az 1289 lakosú Gerendás. A település a Békéscsabai járásban helyezkedik el. A projekt keretében az Általános Iskola épülete kerül megújításra. A felújítás keretében a jelenleg üzemelő gázkazán helyére egy új, korszerűbb kondenzációs kazán kerül behelyezésre, melynek használatával hatékonyabb fűtési rendszer kerül kialakításra az épületben. A villamosenergia felhasználás mértékének csökkentésére egy 12 kW-os, 48 db-ból álló napelemes rendszer kerül felhelyezésre az épület tetejére, melynek a teljesítménye 12110 kWh/év. Emellett sor kerül a meglévő világítási rendszernek egy új, energiatakarékos világítótestekből álló rendszerre történő cseréjére. A projektben tervezett projektarányos akadálymentesítés, melynek keretében akadálymentes mellékhelyiség és feljáró készül. A tervezett fejlesztési projekt hozzájárul a megyei területfejlesztési programban "Természeti és épített értékek, a szellemi és kulturális örökség megóvása, alkotó innovatív fenntartható továbbfejlesztése” stratégiai cél alábbi részcéljainak teljesüléséhez: - energiafelhasználás hatékonyságának javítása; - energiafogyasztás csökkentése - széndioxid kibocsátás csökkenése A projekt a Körösök Völgye Vidékfejlesztési Egyesület HFS-ának A „kistelepüléseken elérhető életminőség növelése” átfogó cél „Településfejlesztés” specifikus cél „Alapszolgáltatások fejlesztése” és „Települési infrastruktúra fejlesztése” intézkedéshez illeszkedik. A HFS SWOT analízis „környezeti fenntarthatóság elveinek alacsony érvényesülése” gyengeségre reagál a projekt. En outre, le système d’éclairage existant sera remplacé par un nouveau système de luminaires économes en énergie. L’accessibilité proportionnelle au projet prévue dans le projet, qui implique la préparation d’une toilette accessible et d’un accessoire.
