Projekto tikslas – plėtoti susisiekimą vietinės reikšmės keliais Zarasų mieste, gerinant Zarasų gatvės techninius parametrus ir diegiant eismo saugos priemones. Projekto tikslinės grupės yra Zarasų miesto ir rajono gyventojai, taip pat miesto svečiai. Pagrindinis tikslinių grupių poreikis – geras ir saugus susisiekimas tarp miesto traukos taškų, kuriuos jungia Zarasų gatvė: Zaraso ežero pakrantės ir miesto centrinės dalies, tarp miesto centro ir E. Pliaterytės gatvės. Projektas Zarasų miestui reikšmingas atsižvelgiant į tai, kad vietinės reikšmės kelių transporto infrastruktūros Zarasų mieste išvystymas yra mažas, gatvės neatitinka techninių parametrų, neužtikrinta eismo sauga. Važiuojamoji kelio danga yra labai prastos būklės. Įgyvendinus projektą bus atnaujinta miesto centre esanti Zarasų gatvė (0,134 km): rekonstruota gatvės danga ir jos konstrukcija, įrengtas šaligatvis, atnaujintas apšvietimas . Rekonstravus Zarasų gatvę, be minėtų problemų sprendimo, kartu bus didinamas miesto patrauklumas ir gyventojų saugumas bei mobilumas, mažinamas neigiamas poveikis aplinkai. (Lithuanian)

The aim of the project is to develop transport on local roads in Zarasai city, improving the technical parameters of Zarasai Street and implementing traffic safety measures. The target groups of the project are residents of Zarasai city and district, as well as guests of the city. The main need for target groups is the good and safe connection between the city’s attractions, which are connected by Zarasai Street: Zarass Lake shore and the central part of the city, between the city centre and E. Pliaterytė street. The project is significant for the city of Zarasai given that the development of local road transport infrastructure in Zarasai is low, the streets do not meet technical parameters, and road safety is not ensured. The road surface is in very poor condition. After the implementation of the project, Zarasų street in the city centre will be renovated (0.134 km): reconstructed street cover and its construction, sidewalk, refurbished lighting. The reconstruction of Zarasai Street will, in addition to solving these problems, increase the attractiveness of the city and increase the safety and mobility of the population and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
