Astravo dvaras su parku – viena raiškiausių XIX a. romantinio klasicizmo stiliaus sodybų Lietuvoje, kuri įtraukta į nekilnojamųjų kultūros vertybių registrą. Dvaro parkas (18,09 ha) – kaip želdynas – pripažintas valstybinės reikšmės parku. Tai svarbus Biržų ir šalies kultūrinį kraštovaizdį reprezentuojantis objektas, įtrauktas į turistinius maršrutus, siūlomų aplankyti objektų sąrašus, tačiau parko vertingosios savybės – parko išplanavimas su savita takų sistema, reljefo ypatumai (dėl supiltų dirbtinių kalvelių), želdiniai, vandens telkiniai, panoramos – nėra pilnai atskleistos, vertybių fizinė, estetinė, ekologinė būklė nuolat prastėja, apie jas vietovėje trūksta informacijos. Šio išskirtinio želdyno išlikimas gali būti garantuotas tik užtikrinant jo tvarkymą ir tinkamą panaudojimą. Todėl projektu siekiama išsaugoti esamas ir atgaivinti pažeistas vertingąsias parko savybes ir suteikti jam tinkamą vaidmenį miesto bendruomenės gyvenime, pritaikyti jį lankymui ir pažinimui. Astravas Manor with Park is one of the most expressive homesteads in the style of romantic classicism in 19th century in Lithuania, which is listed in the Register of Real Cultural Property. Manor park (18.09 ha) — as a greenery — is recognised as a park of national significance. This is an important object representing the cultural landscape of Biržai and the country, included in tourist routes, lists of objects offered to visit, but the park’s valuable features — park layout with a distinctive path system, terrain features (due to the stuffed artificial hills), plantations, water bodies, panoramas — are not fully disclosed, the physical, aesthetic and ecological status of the values is constantly deteriorating and there is a lack of information about them in the area. The survival of this exclusive plantation can only be guaranteed by ensuring its management and proper use. Therefore, the project aims to preserve and revitalise the damaged valuable features of the park and to give it a proper role in the life of the city community, to adapt it to visiting and acquaintance.
