Norrbotten needs about 51,000 jobs until 2030. A significant part of the challenge of recruiting is the fact that we are acquiring the skills of newly arrived refugees. The SARAH Project will meet employers' need for labor by increasing the employability of foreign-born women. The aim of the project is to meet employers' need for labor by increasing the employability of participants and paying attention to the target group for relevant employers. We want to develop methods from previous projects and regular activities, such as personal coaching and validation of soft skills. We also want to try a new method where we use our own workplace as a tool for giving participants language development work experience and social networks. The aim is also to create a positive attitude towards the target group among employers in the area by introducing and presenting the target group through our existing network and working systematically with new employer contacts. One reason why the target group is far from the labor market is the low knowledge / skills in the Swedish language. Therefore, the project aims to find ways other than those already tested to promote language development. In the project, participants are offered internships in Sunderby Folk High School and Bevista AB, where women can be in the proper working environment while receiving practical support from supervisors and teachers. Participants will mix internships and other activities. They will always be part of the work community, ie they will have lunch, take breaks and have coffee together with the school staff. We believe it favors language development, social networks and understanding of Swedish working life. The aim of the project is to create a new model for working with foreign born people who are far from the labor market. The model is based on language training using nonconventional methods, traineeships supported by trained supervisors and educational support, documentation of experience and abilities, increased knowledge of the labor market and a widened network.
