Our aim in this project is to present a method where we can, on a individual level identify the strengths and qualities of young people with psychiatric illness. We also want to show that they could be of great value to an employer. We recognize that their disabilities makes it harder for them on the labour market, this is something we can not change, but we want to show their strengths first, and their limitations second. The method we want to develope could be implemented at Arbetsförmedlingen and it can be of great help to the psychologists when the want to identify adequate work tasks for people with psychiatric illness on an individual basis. The limitations of the participant will be connected to the method, together with adjustments at the workplace, if needed, and possible economical reliefs for the employer. In this project we are going to develope a method to identify the qualities of the individual. We are going to target young participants with psychological illness. We will work with them in groups of 12 people in 18 weeks. During this time the participants will go through three phases; first phase being a preparation for internship abroad, phase two is the internship abroad for six weeks and phase three will be the final coaching. Our expectations are that the combination of seeing the qualities of the individual and the internship abroad, is going to increase the participants possibilities of a job in Sweden. We also expect to implement this method at Arbetsförmedlingen when the project has ended. (Swedish)

Notre objectif dans ce projet est de présenter une méthode dans laquelle nous pouvons, au niveau individuel, identifier les forces et les qualités des jeunes atteints d’une maladie psychiatrique. Nous voulons également montrer qu’ils pourraient être d’une grande valeur pour un employeur. Nous reconnaissons que leurs handicaps rendent les choses plus difficiles pour eux sur le marché du travail, c’est quelque chose que nous ne pouvons pas changer, mais nous voulons d’abord montrer leurs forces, et leurs limites en second lieu. La méthode que nous voulons développer pourrait être mise en œuvre à Arbetsförmedlingen et elle peut être d’une grande aide pour les psychologues quand ils veulent identifier les tâches de travail appropriées pour les personnes atteintes d’une maladie psychiatrique sur une base individuelle. Les limites du participant seront liées à la méthode, ainsi que les ajustements sur le lieu de travail, le cas échéant, et d’éventuels soulagements économiques pour l’employeur. Dans ce projet, nous allons développer une méthode pour identifier les qualités de l’individu. Nous allons cibler les jeunes participants atteints d’une maladie psychologique. Nous travaillerons avec eux en groupes de 12 personnes dans 18 semaines. Pendant cette période, les participants passeront par trois phases; la première phase étant une préparation pour un stage à l’étranger, la deuxième phase est le stage à l’étranger pour six semaines et la troisième phase sera le coaching final. Nos attentes sont que la combinaison de voir les qualités de l’individu et le stage à l’étranger, va augmenter les possibilités d’un emploi en Suède. Nous comptons également mettre en œuvre cette méthode à Arbetsförmedlingen lorsque le projet aura pris fin. (French)
